Trainer Background

I began training dogs as a young girl in 4-H. ( I was born with dogs.) I continued training my own dogs and in 1991 was accepted into the 'National K-9 Learning Center School for Dog Trainers' located in Columbus,Ohio (click to see certificate).
I spent 6 weeks living on campus with my then 6 month old German Shepherd, Kacey. We, together learned the beginning of many canine behaviors, good and bad and how to resolve them. Which have only been truly ENHANCED with my 'hands on' experience over my many years training so many dogs!

My methods are humane. I believe in using reward for a job well done. The reward may be food, verbal or physical praise. Each dog is different and responds to the reward differently. I use what works best for each INDIVIDUAL dog. Physical abuse is absolutely not tolerated.

I am licensed and certified. I am experienced in all areas of dog behavioral problems and issues. (Please look at my Training Classes page.)

I owned my own Obedience School from 1998 ~ 2003 until I moved from Edmonds to Tacoma. I am now teaching clients in a private one-on-one setting. You are welcome to review the Testimonials from some of my clients who worked with me in the past, on my Testimonial page.
